The purpose of the Community Service Ministry is to demonstrate the love of Christ by serving the physical, emotional, and practical needs of individuals and families within our congregation and the surrounding community. Through acts of compassion, kindness, and service, this ministry seeks to open doors for sharing the gospel, strengthen relationships, and glorify God by being His hands and feet.

As followers of Christ, we are called to serve others with humility and generosity, reflecting God's love in tangible ways. This ministry strives to identify opportunities to meet needs, encourage hope, and promote unity while partnering with other ministries and community organizations whenever appropriate.

Key Scriptures

• Matthew 5:16 – "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
• Galatians 6:10 – "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the household of faith."
• James 2:14–17 – Faith is demonstrated through caring for those in need.
• Matthew 25:35–40 – Serving those in need is serving Christ.

The Community Service Ministry exists to coordinate and promote outreach efforts that meet practical needs while demonstrating the compassion of Jesus Christ. The ministry provides opportunities for members to serve through projects that benefit individuals, families, schools, neighborhoods, and community organizations.

Examples of ministry activities may include:

• Organizing food, clothing, and household item drives.
• Assisting with community clean-up projects.
• Visiting and encouraging the elderly, sick, and homebound.
• Supporting disaster relief and emergency assistance efforts.
• Partnering with local organizations to serve the community.
• Providing seasonal outreach events, such as back-to-school drives, holiday meal distributions, and community resource fairs.
• Encouraging volunteerism among church members and connecting them with opportunities to serve.

The Community Service Ministry works in harmony with the mission of the church by demonstrating Christian love through service, building relationships within the community, and creating opportunities to share the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Every act of service is intended to honor God, strengthen the church's witness, and encourage others to experience the love and hope found in Christ.
